Crime Wars San Andreas: Free GTA-Style Browser Game
kinda mid tbh but the bazooka goes hard. You get 6 levels, drive cars, blast gangs. Fun for 20 minutes then move on.
Crime Wars San Andreas is listed in our Action collection because it passed a basic playability review: it loads in a modern browser, explains itself quickly, and offers a clear reason to keep playing after the first attempt.

WASD handles your movement, mouse controls the camera. Left click attacks, right click aims down sights. F gets you into cars, Space jumps. Q and E cycle weapons. TAB pauses. Feels standard for a desktop shooter. Aiming is floaty at times but driving is fun.
Fif here, just found this GTA knockoff in the browser game trenches. Crime Wars San Andreas is a 3D action game where you fight urban crime across 6 levels. You run around a city, steal cars, shoot gangs, and hunt for gear. The mini map shows armor and health pickups scattered around. Six levels total, ending with a boss fight. It's janky but has charm. The weapon variety carries it โ pistol, shotgun, SMG, sniper, bazooka. Haven't seen a browser game throw a bazooka at you this early before.
If you enjoy open-world action, Chronicles of Slayer brings a different flavor worth trying.
Drop in, grab a weapon, start clearing gangs. You can shoot enemies or just run them over with whatever car you find. Hit F to jack a ride. Each level dumps you in the city with targets to eliminate. Scour the mini map for health kits and armor between fights. Rounds take 5-10 minutes depending on how aggressive you play. Okay this is actually fire when you speed through levels with the submachine gun. The boss fight at level six is a bullet sponge though, ngl.
Need a break from shooting? FNF Sonic Jam is a fun rhythm switch-up.
6 levels with a boss fight at the end โ short enough to finish in one sitting
5 weapons from pistol to bazooka โ the variety keeps it fresh
Driveable vehicles you can steal anytime with F key
Mini map with health and armor pickups so you don't die constantly
Store lets you buy ammo and gear to speed things up
Grab a car immediately โ running around on foot takes forever
Check the mini map for armor before engaging groups
Run over enemies instead of shooting them early โ saves ammo
Wish I knew this sooner: the store has pre-made ammo packs that make later levels way easier
Save the bazooka for the boss fight, don't waste it on regular goons
Use right-click aim for sniper shots, hip fire for everything else
For more gunplay after this, Soldiers - Capture and Control! delivers tighter shooting mechanics.
Common questions about Crime Wars San Andreas
Desktop only. The controls need WASD and a mouse, so no phone support here.
Six levels total. The final level throws a big boss at you to wrap things up.
Pistol, submachine gun, shotgun, sniper rifle, and bazooka. Cycle through them with Q and E.
It's a solid time killer for 20-30 minutes. Won't replace actual GTA but scratches the itch for free in a browser.
First-aid kits show up on the mini map. Track them down between fights to stay alive.

Fif's take: play this if you want quick GTA vibes without downloading anything. The bazooka and driving make it worth 20 minutes of your time. Catch is the aiming feels off and the boss is a damage sponge. Fun distraction, not a main game.
